Slow or struggling crank
The engine turns over slowly or hesitates before it catches, especially first thing in the morning. The classic sign a battery is on its way out. Get it tested before it leaves you stranded.

Slow crank, dim lights, or a dead car this morning? Get a free battery test, a fixed price before we fit, and a 12-month warranty. Genuine Varta, Bosch, ACDelco, Amaron and more. Mobile fitting across Dubai.
A customer called us in a panic one morning last June: car dead in his building car park, already late for work, sure he needed a new battery. We came out, tested it, and the battery was fine. The real problem was a corroded earth terminal, loose and crusted white, that a two-minute clean and tighten fixed for nothing. He drove to work ten minutes later. We could have just sold him a battery. He would never have known.
That is the thing about batteries in Dubai. They do fail often here, the heat sees to that, but "the car will not start" does not always mean the battery. Sometimes it is the terminals, sometimes the alternator, sometimes a parasitic drain. At FIXGO we test first and tell you the truth, even when the truth is that you do not need to spend money. When you do need a battery, you get a genuine one, the right spec for your car, fitted properly, with a 12-month warranty.
Battery pricing should not be a mystery, so here are our real starting prices by brand, before VAT, fitting included. The right battery for your car depends on its size, its cold-cranking needs, and whether it has a start-stop system (those need a pricier AGM battery). We tell you which your car takes and why.
| Battery | Best for | Warranty | From AED |
|---|---|---|---|
| Exide | Budget / older cars | 12 months | from 250 |
| Amaron | Japanese & Korean cars | 18 months | from 260 |
| ACDelco | American & Japanese, all-round | 12 months | from 280 |
| Bosch | All vehicles, high reliability | 24 months | from 320 |
| Varta | European (BMW, Mercedes, Audi, VW) | 24 months | from 350 |
| AGM (start-stop systems) | Modern start-stop cars | 24 months | from 600 |
Final price depends on your car's battery size and type. Larger SUVs and luxury European cars sit at the higher end, up to around AED 1,500 for big AGM units. Fitting and a free health test are included, and we dispose of your old battery responsibly. We are typically 30 to 50% below dealer pricing.

Headlights that look weak at idle, or interior and dashboard lights that dim. The battery or the charging system is struggling to keep up.
If you have jump-started more than once, the battery is not holding charge. A jump gets you going, but it does not fix the underlying problem.
Other signs worth acting on: a battery warning light on the dash, a swollen or bulging battery case (heat damage, replace it now), a clicking sound when you turn the key, electronics resetting themselves, or a battery more than two to three years old in Dubai's heat. If any of these sound familiar, a free test takes two minutes and tells you exactly where you stand.
Nearly half the batteries we see are genuinely worn out, Dubai heat kills them in two to three years. But notice the rest: almost a third of "dead battery" calls are actually terminals, charging, or a drain. That is why we test before we sell.
The right choice for most older and mid-range cars without start-stop. Reliable, affordable, proven in the heat. Most cars take this.
Required for modern cars with start-stop systems (many recent BMW, Mercedes, Range Rover). More expensive, but fitting a standard battery to a start-stop car causes faults, so it is not optional.
For drivers who want the longest life in Dubai's climate, a premium heat-resistant battery (Bosch, Varta, Amaron) lasts longer and holds up better through summer.
Fitting the wrong battery type, especially a non-AGM in a start-stop car, causes electrical faults and early failure. We always fit the correct spec for your car, not just whatever is cheapest.
If you have owned a car here for a while, you already know batteries do not last. In a cooler climate a battery might run four or five years. In Dubai, two to three is normal, and a hard summer can finish one off in less. Heat is the reason. It speeds up the chemical reactions inside the battery and evaporates the fluid, wearing it out far faster than cold ever would. Add the constant heavy load from running the AC at full blast, plus lots of short trips that never fully recharge the battery, and you have the perfect recipe for early failure. This is why we tell Dubai drivers to get the battery tested every year from its second birthday, and to never ignore a slow crank in summer. A battery almost always gives you warning before it dies completely. The trick is not to ignore it.
Healthy. The battery cranks strong and holds charge. Nothing to do but enjoy it.
Watch it. Dubai heat is taking its toll. Worth a free annual test now, especially before summer.
The warning sign. The battery is weakening. Test it and plan to replace it soon, on your terms, not stranded.
Usually at the worst time, in a hot car park. A jump might get you home, but the battery is done. Now it is an emergency, not a planned swap.

We test the battery's health and the alternator's output, because a flat battery is sometimes a charging problem. We find the real cause.
If you need a battery, we tell you which one and why, with the price upfront. If you do not, we tell you that too.
Nothing is replaced until you say yes.
The correct spec for your car, terminals cleaned, fitted and tested, with your settings preserved where needed.
A written 12-month warranty, and we take your old battery away for responsible recycling.
We stock and fit genuine batteries from all the brands that matter in Dubai: Varta and Bosch for European cars, Amaron and ACDelco for Japanese, Korean and American, Exide for budget-conscious drivers, and AGM units for modern start-stop systems on recent BMW, Mercedes and Range Rover. We fit batteries across more than 40 makes, from a small sedan to a fully loaded Patrol or Land Cruiser. Whatever you drive, we have the right battery and we will fit the correct spec, not a compromise.
Last summer a Land Cruiser owner came to us certain he needed his second battery in eighteen months. The first replacement, from a roadside van, had died fast and he was frustrated. We tested everything, and the battery itself was healthy. The real problem was his alternator, slightly undercharging, which had quietly killed the previous battery and was about to kill this one too. The roadside service that sold him the first battery never checked the charging system, so they fixed the symptom and missed the cause.
We repaired the charging fault, confirmed the battery was now charging correctly, and he kept the battery he already had. He did not need a new one at all. He needed someone to actually test the system instead of just selling him a part. That is the difference between a battery vending machine and a workshop that diagnoses.
From AED 250 for a budget battery up to around AED 1,500 for a large AGM unit on a luxury SUV. Most cars fall in the AED 280 to 600 range, fitting and a free test included. See the table above.
Usually two to three years, because the heat wears batteries out far faster than cooler climates. A quality AGM battery can last longer. Get it tested yearly from year two.
A slow crank, dim lights, needing jump starts, a dashboard battery light, or a swollen battery case. If your battery is over two years old and showing any of these, get it tested.
Both. We offer mobile fitting anywhere in Dubai, home, office, or roadside, and we also have our Al Quoz workshop if you prefer to come in.
No, and this matters. Sometimes it is corroded terminals, a charging fault, or a drain from something left on. We test the whole system first, so you do not pay for a battery you did not need.
AGM batteries are for cars with start-stop systems, common on recent BMW, Mercedes and Range Rover. They cost more, but fitting a standard battery to a start-stop car causes faults. We check what your car needs.
Heat. It speeds up the wear inside the battery and evaporates its fluid. Heavy AC use and short trips that never fully recharge it make it worse. Two to three years is normal here.
Yes, we take it away and recycle it responsibly. Car batteries contain lead and acid and should never go in normal waste.
On some modern cars, yes (radio, clock, some systems). We preserve the settings where the car requires it, so you do not lose anything.
Every battery carries a manufacturer warranty, 12 to 24 months depending on the brand, plus our own 12-month service backing. If a warrantied battery fails, we sort it.
A free battery and charging test, an honest answer, and a fixed price before we fit. Genuine batteries, the right spec for your car, 12-month warranty. Mobile fitting anywhere in Dubai.
